AEI-AGSP Scholars Build Self-Esteem and Confidence

Sports Days Mentoring Events
means Scholars learn important life skills

Swaziland

Life skills mentoring is a key component in all AEI-AGSP partners’ mentoring plans.

AEI-AGSP partners in region 3 develop mentoring plans each year for their scholars. Mentoring events include one-on-one, small group and large group sessions with mentors from the community. Additionally, mentoring events are also large events in which all scholars participate.

AEI-AGSP partners realize that scholars need to have mentoring that is fun! A good example of how AEI-AGSP partners “teach” life skills is the series of Sports Days in which AEI-AGSP Scholars in Swaziland sponsored by Orphanaid-Caritas, were able to develop the skills so necessary to development of self-esteem and self-confidence by learning about and playing Volley Ball for the first time!
